NGOs want stricter rules on land leased by foreigners

Manila-based nongovernment organizations (NGOs) want the Aquino administration to craft and impose stringent regulations for foreign investors who want to develop agricultural land in the Philippines.

PhilDHRRA Conducts Post Distribution Monitoring of Oxfam Cash Grant

Five months after typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) swept the country, Oxfam provided financial assistance to some 10,000 families who were victims of this tragedy through its Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods (EFSL) project. This is instead of the traditional food and non-food assistance; giving families more liberty to decide which basic needs to buy. Around 20 livelihood groups also benefited from this project. Wherein, PhilDHRRA partnered with Oxfam in monitoring the spending pattern of these families and livelihood groups.
