Job Advertisement for PMPI Finance Staff / Bookkeeper
The Philippine Misereor Partnership, Inc. is a Partnership of more than 300 development organizations coming from church-based institutions, non-government organizations and people’s organizations. The main objective of the partnership is to facilitate continuing dialogue among the development workers as well as sharing of resources and best practices in development work.
To serve the partnership and to insure the attainment of its vision and goals, the PMPI has a National Secretariat that is based in Metro Manila. The Secretariat is composed of a National Coordinator, Deputy National Coordinator, an Anti Mining Campaign Project Officer and Assistant Project Officer, an Administrative Technical Assistant, and a Finance Staff/Book keeper.
The position for the Finance Staff and Bookkeeper is now vacant.
In line with this, PMPI is now announcing an employment opportunity for the position of Finance Staff and Bookkeeper
In general, the work of the Accounting clerk / bookkeeper revolves on the following:
a. Assists the National Coordinator in the effective management & utilization of the funds of the Secretariat.
b. Records all financial transaction involving the PMPI secretariat funds and the AMC funds for easy access.
c. Produce and submits monthly reports on cash flow, balances and other financial statements to the National Coordinator
d. Conducts all financial, bank and legal transactions as authorized by the National Coordinator.
e. Coordinates with, and assists the PMPI auditors during PMPI external audits.
f. Assists the Administrative and Technical Assistant in maintaining a quarterly inventory of office equipment, supplies and other office materials; and
g. Perform other tasks and functions as may be required by the National Coordinator
Terms of Employment, Benefits & Compensation
This position is a fulltime post. The successful applicant shall undergo a 3 to 6 months probationary period. During the probationary stage, performance evaluations shall be conducted after three months and after 6 months. Passing the two evaluations is a requirement for full employment. Once applicant has passed the probationary period, then the applicant shall have full employment status and shall enjoy full benefits as required and mandated by law.
The financial remuneration for this post is SEVENTEEN THOUSAND PESOS (Php 17,000.00) every month to be paid every 10th and 25th day of the month, with benefits as required by law such as SSS, PhilHealth, and PAG-IBIG.
Accountability
The successful applicant shall be directly accountable to the National Coordinator.
Requirements:
All applicants should have the following qualifications
1. Must be Filipino citizen.
2. Holder of a College Degree in Accounting or in a related field
3. Have a minimum of two years work experience in finance administration and bookkeeping, preferably in an NGO setting
4. Must be computer literate, able to use MS words, Excel, Powerpoint, and accounting software.
5. Must be a team player, can work with minimal supervision, able to do multi-tasking, and able to beat deadlines.
6. Must be willing to work for long and extra hours.
